Globally award-winning Distillery Botanica is offering some special winter experiences to warm up visits to the Central Coast distillery during the cooler months.

In July and August, visitors to the Erina distillery door can indulge in a Winter Wonderland Cocktail Class and Paint By Numbers workshops.

Taking place on July 25 at 1130am and 130pm, the one-hour cocktail masterclass includes the chance to make and enjoy two winter-themed drinks crafted with spirits and liqueurs from the Distillery Botanica range. Priced from $60, it’s perfect for beginners or mixologists, with the guided class including tips and tricks to take cocktail making to the next level. Bookings essential, places are limited.

The art workshops are being held at the distillery at 1pm on July 26, and 11am on August 11 and August 23. For $40, painters are greeted with a drink on arrival and can choose a design and paints before settling in to create their masterpiece during the three-hour art experience. Bookings essential, places are limited.

Weekends in July and August also see the return of ‘winter warmer’ tastings at the distillery door, including a warm and spicy Raspberry Liqueur mulled wine.

Gin tasting paddles and general tastings are also available Wednesday to Sunday, starting from $5 per person for a general 10-minute tasting at the bar, $15pp for a half hour sit-down tasting experience featuring Distillery Botanica’s full range, and a $25 tasting paddle featuring three seasonal half-sized gin and tonics or liqueurs paired with complimentary garnishes and tasting notes.

In addition to the winter cocktail classes, the Distillery offers longer cocktail classes which are perfect for groups and special occasions, distillery and garden tours, and distil your own botanical gin and vodka workshops with ingredients hand-picked from the garden before being distilled in individual two-litre copper stills.

Distillery Botanica first opened its doors in 2007 as the sixteenth commercial small scale gin producer in Australia. Created by distiller Philip Moore, Distillery Botanica produces a range of gins and liqueurs including the acclaimed Moore’s Dry Gin – the first Australian gin to ever win Gold at the prestigious London International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) in 2017, Moore’s Blood Orange Gin amongst other gin variants, as well as two-time IWSC gold medal winning Lemon Myrtle Liqueur, Raspberry Liqueur, Vodka, and Terrigal Rum. New to the range is Moore’s Pearl Crush Gin, Triple Sec Valencia liqueur, and Koko Noir chocolate liqueur.

During winter Distillery Botanica is open Wednesday to Sunday, 11am to 4pm (closed Monday and Tuesday as well as public holidays).
