Established in 1947 by Alex Griffiths, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has grown from a humble lorikeet feeding site into a world-renowned destination for conservation and education. Nestled within 27 hectares of lush eucalyptus trees and rainforest, this heritage-listed sanctuary provides a safe haven for hundreds of native Australian animals. Visitors can experience close encounters with koalas, kangaroos, and crocodiles while witnessing the incredible work of the Wildlife Hospital, one of the busiest in the world. As a non-profit organization, every visit supports vital research and rehabilitation programs. The sanctuary offers a unique blend of Indigenous culture, daily wildlife shows, and interactive experiences like the TreeTop Challenge.
