About the event

Artisans in the Gardens marks its milestone 25th anniversary in 2026, bringing contemporary Australian art and craft to the heart of the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney. From Saturday 24 October to Sunday 1 November, the historic surrounds of Lion Gate Lodge, Victoria Lodge, and their adjacent gardens will be transformed into an inspiring outdoor and indoor gallery.

What to Expect

Curated by Bronwyn Joffick around the guiding theme of Renewal, the exhibition features an eclectic blend of returning masters and innovative emerging talent exploring our relationship with the natural world.

  • Diverse Mediums: Discover indoor and outdoor sculptures, ceramics, fine woodwork, glass, bespoke jewellery, textiles, and mixed media.
  • Victoria Lodge Showcase: Explore a curated treasure trove of smaller, gift-ready works suitable for every budget.
  • Art for Purchase: Original works are available to buy throughout the week, offering the perfect opportunity to invest in Australian craftsmanship.
  • Free Guided Tours: Join complimentary guided tours led by the Artisans Committee on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during the exhibition.

“Renewal is a thread running through this year’s exhibition, from artists finding new possibilities in reclaimed materials to works that invite us to look differently at familiar landscapes, plants and animals.”
— Bronwyn Joffick, Curator
