  1. Get Creative with Veggie Names: Give veggies fun Aussie names like “Kangaroo Carrots” or “Koala Cucumbers” to make them more appealing to kids.
  2. Colourful Plates: Encourage kids to eat a rainbow of fruits and veggies by making their plates vibrant and colourful. Think red tomatoes, orange carrots, green peas, and purple grapes.
  3. DIY Snack Packs: Create DIY snack packs with a mix of nuts, seeds, and dried fruits. Let kids pick and choose their favourites for a healthy snack on the go.
  4. Smoothie Fun: Blend up delicious and nutritious smoothies using Aussie favourites like bananas, berries, and yoghurt. Let the kids help out by choosing their own combinations.Fruits
  5. Make it a Game: Turn mealtime into a game by challenging kids to try new foods or finish their veggies before a timer runs out. Offer small rewards or praise for their efforts.
  6. Cook Together: Get kids involved in the kitchen by letting them help with meal prep and cooking. They’ll be more likely to try new foods if they’ve had a hand in making them.
  7. Swap Out Sugary Drinks: Replace sugary drinks like soft drinks and fruit juices with water flavoured with slices of lemon, lime, or cucumber. Encourage kids to decorate their water bottles with stickers or markers.
  8. Homemade Treats: Bake healthy homemade treats together like whole grain muffins, oatmeal cookies, or fruit kebabs. It’s a fun way to bond and enjoy something sweet without all the added sugar.
  9. Grow Your Own: Start a veggie garden together and let the kids help plant, water, and harvest their own produce. They’ll be more excited to eat veggies they’ve grown themselves.
  10. Lead by Example: Be a positive role model by eating healthy foods yourself and showing enthusiasm for trying new things. Kids are more likely to follow suit if they see their parents enjoying nutritious meals.
