About the Film
Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile is a live-action/CGI family comedy adventure that introduces this adored character to a new, global audience. It is based on the best-selling book series by Bernard Waber.
Josh, the young son of the Primm family (Constance Wu, Scoot McNairy, Winslow Fegley), struggles to fit in at his new school and with his new friends after the family relocates to New York City. All of that changes when he learns that Lyle, a singing crocodile played by Mendes, is residing in the attic of his new house and that he enjoys baths, caviar, and fantastic music.
The two become fast friends. But when Mr. Grumps, the evil neighbor, threatens Lyle’s existence (Brett Gelman), the Primms must work with Hector P. Valenti, Lyle’s charismatic owner (Javier Bardem), to prove to the world that family can come from the most unlikely of places.
Shawn Mendes, Javier Bardem, and Constance Wu will perform original songs from Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile that Benj Pasek & Justin Paul, the lyricists behind The Greatest Showman. Check it out at your local Hoyts Cinemas
