Orange Wine Festival 2026: Save the Dates for 10 Days of Cool-Climate Celebration

The Orange Wine Festival 2026 is officially locked in, and wine lovers have plenty of reason to start planning. Returning from Friday 16 to Sunday 25 October, the festival will bring more than 40 events across ten days, showcasing the very best of Australia’s highest-altitude wine region set against the spectacular backdrop of the Orange Wine Region in spring.

Home to some of the country’s highest vineyards, Orange is defined by its elevation, cool climate and rich volcanic soils, a combination that produces an extraordinary diversity of varieties and wine styles. Across the festival, winemakers, vignerons, sommeliers, chefs and restaurateurs will open their doors for experiences that go well beyond a traditional wine tasting, from vertical tastings and rare museum wines to winemaker dinners, relaxed gatherings, parties, brunches and long lunches.

Two signature events are already locked in. The festival kicks off on Friday 16 October with the Orange Wine Festival Night Market, held beneath the spring canopy of Robertson Park, where visitors can wander through award-winning cool-climate wines and dishes from the region’s top chefs and producers. Then on Friday 23 October, Sip & Savour: The Ultimate Wine Tasting brings together more than 300 winning wines from the 2026 Orange Wine Show under one roof at the Agricultural Pavilion, Orange Showground, for what’s billed as an immersive tasting journey through one of Australia’s most exciting cool-climate regions.

Running throughout the festival, the Vintners’ Table Series will invite guests to dine with the region’s winemakers in intimate settings, with each course paired with exceptional Orange cool-climate wines.

Ahead of the main event, the 2026 Orange Wine Show will see an esteemed judging panel convene from 21 to 23 September, with trophy winners announced at the Orange Wine Show Lunch on 24 September.
