Animals in 3D with Google!

We think this is the perfect quarantine activity. Have a look at all the different animals your little one loves, but in 3D! We’ve put a link to a website explaining how to use the feature. This gives your kids the ultimate virtual experience, looking at a wild animal in your own home!. There’s everything from Eagles to Turtles, so check it out.

Kid’s Activity Booklet!

Print out World Animal Protection’s kids activity booklet If your little one loves colouring, crosswords or word searches, you’re in luck! World Animal protection has created a 12-page activity booklet that will keep the kids busy colouring for hours. It’s got some of their favourite animals and even better – teaches your little ones about why it’s important to protect wildlife! Here’s the download link!
When you’re finished, upload a photo on Instagram and tag @parenthood.360 AND @worldanimalprotectionaustralia

Virtual Tour of SeaLife Aquarium and Wildlife Zoo!

Head over to the SeaLife Aquarium or Wildlife Zoo with a virtual tour, complete with live streams of all of your favourite animals and sealife! An existing schedule of live streams has been published, so you can plan out a virtual afternoon visit to the aquarium! We know this one will keep your kids busy! Check out Sydney’s Wildlife Center HERE and SeaLife Sydney here!

Bake some treats for your cat or dog!

Why not bake some healthy and delicious treats for your pets? We know the pets of the house have already been feeling ALL the love lately, so why not step it up one more notch and bake some treats! Don’t have a pet? Why not make some for the neighbours! Bag them up with a note and you’ll be teaching your little one about being sharing the love as well! You can make your own recipe, or check out our favourites HERE and HERE!

Side note: When you do surprise your pet with a new treat, start with a small amount just to check it’s safe!

Make your own animal with your recycling

Rinse out some old containers, buttons and pieces of cardboard and get creating! Create your kids favourite animals without buying anything. You can have fun with this one and let your kid’s creativity go wild! Sea shells as ears? A toilet paper roll as a giraffe’s neck? Have fun with it and share your creations with us on our socials!

Live Stream Rescued animals!

We’ve already posted some links to some amazing aussie live streams of animals, but why not go a bit more international?! Many sanctuaries are live streaming their animals in action.

World Animal Protection’s sanctuary partner in Romania, Libearty Bear Sanctuary, has a 24-hour live stream of the pool area their rescued bears love to enjoy. You can watch these bears living a peaceful, rescued life here.
