The BEST Mother’s Day Ideas for your Mum!

With mother’s day fast approaching (10th May for those who need a reminder!), we’ve put together some amazing ideas that you can do to help celebrate all the mums in your life! Check out these Mother’s day gifts, crafts, and some cooking activities to help let mum know how much she is loved.

Mother’s Day Craft Ideas

Since we’re all staying inside more, here are some craft ideas to do on Mother’s Day.

Cupcake flowers

Grab some pipe cleaners, markers and cupcake cases/liners (what are these things called anyway?!) Poke a hole through the centre of each liner, thread through the end of the pipe cleaner and get decorating. If you’ve got the supplies, add some pompoms or glitter to make mum a beautiful bouquet!

Pasta necklace

Because what mum doesn’t love some new jewellery! Grab some string, penne pasta and some paint and get creating a beautiful necklace for mum! We love this ideas as a morning activity that the whole family can do. A fashion walk with the final designs might even be on the cards.

Mother’s day bookmarks

Grab an old cereal box or piece of cardboard and cut out bookmarks. Paint, draw, text or glue on any designs you like. We love gluing on old buttons or dried out flowers. If mum does get a little time to herself to read, she’ll never lose her spot!

Gifts for Mother’s Day

Here are some of our favourite Mother’s day gifts!

Lush Sleepy Gift Pack

Doesn’t every mum need a bit more sleep? We love the latest ‘sleepy’ range by lush, filled with lavender scented lotion and bath bombs. Maybe you can pair this with a coupon for 2 hours ‘kid free time’!

Banjo’s High Tea boxes

Carry on the tradition (or start a new one) with a high tea at home for Mother’s Day. What a gorgeous way to celebrate all the hard work that goes into being a mum. Here’s the link for more information!

Homemade Cosmetics

Check out our post HERE on how to make some cosmetics for mum that she’ll love. Sage and blackberry body scrub? Yes please!

What I love about Mum book

Staple together a few pages of paper, and get filling in “what I love about Mum”. Maybe its Mum’s amazing lunches she packs, or how she always helps me when you don’t know how to do something. Decorate the cover or fill the book with drawings. We think this is such a beautiful homemade Mother’s Day gift that really shows how much you love her.

Cooking & Baking for Mother’s Day

Here are some ideas for a breakfast in bed, or afternoon activity to do over the weekend!

Eggs in a hole

Using a heart cut out, or a knife, hollow out a hole in 2 slices. Put into a frypan at medium heat and drop in 2 eggs into the hole. This is such a cute idea for a breakfast in bed for a very deserving mum!
