About the event

If you’ve got teenagers who think everything you suggest is cringe, this is your secret weapon. The Book of Mormon from the creators of South Park is arguably the funniest musical ever written, and it’s back at the gorgeous Princess Theatre Brisbane. One of the hottest musical theatre Brisbane tickets of the season, and for very good reason.

Outrageous, frequently offensive, and surprisingly heartwarming all at once, this is a show with songs that will be stuck in your head for the next three years minimum. It follows two mismatched missionaries sent to Uganda, and let’s just say things don’t go according to the handbook.

This one is firmly for the older kids recommended 15+ as the language is colourful, to say the least. But as a piece of satire and musical theatre, it is absolutely untouchable. Taking your teen to see this is a guaranteed cool parent move, and honestly, you’ll be laughing just as hard as they are.

The perfect way to cap off the school holidays with a live theatre Brisbane experience that is smart, cynical, and completely joyous from start to finish. Just be prepared for them to quote the lyrics at the dinner table for the next month. You’ve been warned.

Please Note: Parental discretion is strongly advised. Everyone regardless of age must hold a valid ticket to enter the theatre. Anyone aged 16 and under must be accompanied by and seated next to a ticketholder who is at least 18 years old.

Content Warning: This production contains explicit language and content, strobe lighting, flashing lights, smoke, haze, gunshots and sound effects.
