Places to explore just outside of Sydney!
We know the travel bug has got you good, but we also know that none of us can travel too far afield. We’ve put together some amazing places to explore, that are still close to Sydney. Let us know if you have any other amazing places nearby!
Bundeena
Bundeena is a beautiful coastal town located just south of Sydney. Bundeena National Park is a picturesque area filled with plenty of different activities including camping, bushwalking, beaches and other amazing sights. The area is family friendly, with different levels of bush walks, and flat, sandy beaches.
The Blue Mountains
If you’re looking for a picturesque, family friendly area, the Blue Mountains is exactly what you’re looking for. Filled with plenty of walks and look out points, it is the perfect place to escape some of Sydney‘s business! With plenty of accomodation, family friendly cafes and different activities, it’s no wonder the Blue Mountains are a go to!
Check out Wentworth Falls, an amazing track that will lead to the top of the Wentworth Falls waterfall in the Blue Mountains National Park. The Scenic Railway is also another must-visit!
Bouddi National Park
If you’re looking for the perfect escape, beautiful scenery and an amazing place to let your kids explore look no further than Bouddi National Park. There are over 10 different walks within the park, making it ideal for families at different levels. A variety of campgrounds also exist if you were wanting to turn this into a holiday. Beaches line the coastline meaning that you can also cool down with your little one at any time. We love the coastal walk as a bit of a challenge for toddlers (and you!)
Ku-Ring-Gai National Park
We LOVE this area, and it’s a great place to explore as a day trip. Pack yourself some snacks, hats, and sneakers and explore the many different walks available! This area is home to many different creeks and bays, making it a stunning day out!
